Under the Ryan White HIV/Aids Treatment Modernization Act of 2006, persons unable to work because of disability due to HIV/Aids and who are at risk of losing their private health insurance may be able to qualify for premium payment assistance through the CARE Health Insurance Premium Payment (CARE/HIPP) program. Eligible Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) recipients, or Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) recipients, may be able to qualify for premium payment assistance through the Health Coverage Tax Credit (HCTC) Program.
